Cost and timing
How much does paintless dent repair cost?
It depends on the size, depth and location of the dent. A single door ding costs far less than a hail-damaged roof. Send a photo and we’ll reply with an exact price. [Add “starting at” prices if approved.]
How long does PDR take?
Most single dents take about 1–3 hours. Long creases or several dents take longer, and heavy hail can take a few days. You’ll get a time estimate with your quote.
Is the quote free?
Yes. Send a few photos of the damage and we’ll reply with a price. There’s no charge and no obligation to book.
What photos should I send?
One close-up straight on, one from a few steps back, and one at an angle so the light shows the dent. Daylight works best. A coin or key next to the dent helps us judge size.
How the repair works
What is paintless dent repair?
Paintless dent repair (PDR) removes dents by pushing the metal back into shape from behind the panel. There is no sanding, filler or repainting, so your factory paint stays intact.
Can every dent be fixed without paint?
No. PDR works when the paint is unbroken and the metal isn’t stretched too far. Cracked paint, torn metal or damage right on a panel edge may need bodywork. Your photo tells us which.
What’s the difference between PDR and regular body repair?
Body repair fills, sands and repaints the panel. PDR reshapes the metal from behind, so the original paint is never touched. It’s usually faster and keeps the factory finish.
Will PDR affect my warranty?
PDR keeps the original factory paint, with no filler or repainting. [Confirm wording with the client before launch.]
Will I be able to see where the dent was?
On a good PDR candidate, the panel reads straight under light when we’re done. If a dent can’t get there, we’ll tell you before we start.
Mobile service
Do you come to me?
Yes. We do mobile dent repair at your home or workplace. Most dings, creases and light hail can be fixed on site.
How far do you travel for mobile repair?
Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Langley and Mission. Somewhere else? Send your location and we’ll let you know if we can come.
What do you need at my location?
About a metre of space on the damaged side of the car, and ideally shade or a garage. Direct sun makes dents hard to read. [Confirm whether power or water is needed.]
Does mobile repair cost more?
[Confirm with client: travel fee or none.] Either way, your quote includes the full price up front.
Hail damage
Do you fix hail damage?
Yes. Hail usually leaves round dents with the paint intact, which is what PDR is made for. We work each panel under light and push the dents out from behind, keeping the factory finish.
Can hail repair be done at my house?
Light hail on one or two panels, yes. Heavier damage across the hood, roof and trunk is best done in the shop under full lighting.
